New Delhi, Nov 11 : The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has declared the upcoming January 22 consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as a “great moment of joy for everybody,” urging people to embrace it as a “festival.” In a three-day national executive meeting in Bhuj, Gujarat, the RSS discussed plans for the temple’s inauguration and associated programs nationwide.
Ahead of the ceremony, RSS workers will conduct a door-to-door campaign between January 1 and 15, inviting people to join the grand opening, as announced by Dattatreya Hosabale, the general secretary.
Sunil Ambekar, the RSS’s national publicity head, expressed excitement about the construction of the “magnificent temple” and emphasized that the consecration ceremony would bring joy to people, including those living abroad. He encouraged people across the country to participate in the celebration by visiting local temples, lighting diyas at home, and considering it a festive occasion.
Ambekar highlighted Lord Ram as a symbol of “dignity, love, and dharma,” urging people to view the consecration ceremony as a moment of harmony. He expressed optimism that the event would contribute to India’s progress.
The invitation for the consecration ceremony has been extended to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and thousands of seers from various parts of the country.
