CM Kejriwal: India Bloc Nearing Victory with Each Poll Phase

New Delhi, May 21 : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asserted on Tuesday that with the conclusion of each phase of the Lok Sabha polls, it is increasingly evident that the Narendra Modi government is on its way out, and the INDIA bloc is poised to assume power on June 4.

Speaking at a virtual press conference, Kejriwal emphasized that the INDIA bloc would provide a stable government for the country. “With every passing poll phase, the imminent departure of the Modi government and the ascent of the INDIA bloc on June 4 become more apparent,” he stated.

Kejriwal also alleged that Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had verbally attacked him during their election rallies held in Delhi on Monday. Criticizing Shah, Kejriwal remarked, “You have been designated as the heir by the prime minister, so you are displaying arrogance. You have not yet become the prime minister.”

He further addressed Shah’s remarks from the previous day’s rally, where Shah had said, “Kejriwal and Rahul (Gandhi) have no support in India, their supporters are in Pakistan.” Kejriwal responded, “You can criticize me, but refrain from cursing the people of the country. If you curse the public, it will not be tolerated.”

Kejriwal’s remarks were in direct reaction to Shah’s statement made during his rally, where Shah was rallying support for his party’s candidate in the South Delhi constituency, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri.
