Kashmir, Nov 11 : A significant fire erupted in the popular tourist destination of Dal Lake, causing extensive damage to property valued at crores of rupees, as reported by officials. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the incident. The Fire and Emergency Services Department official stated that the fire originated near Ghat number 9 of Dal Lake at approximately 5:15 am. The blaze resulted in the destruction of at least five houseboats and three huts.
