The incident occurred shortly after 3:30 a.m., triggering a swift response from law enforcement agencies in the region.
According to reports, the Scorpio, bearing registration number JK02AK-1743, was traveling from the Srinagar side towards Jammu. Personnel stationed at the Chanderkote checkpoint attempted to signal the vehicle to stop, but the driver ignored the instructions and accelerated instead.
